Freedom Forward is building a world in which all people have the benefit of living in societies that are anchored in democracy, human rights, and environmental sustainability.
Humanity currently faces the global challenges of repression, propaganda, and an accelerating climate crisis. Our own U.S. government is often a part of the problem. U.S. foreign policy arms and supports oil dictators and repressive governments. Meanwhile, U.S. domestic policy remains captive to fossil fuel interests, the arms industry, and other forces that are hostile to our collective survival.
Freedom Forward works to build a better future. We drive campaigns that educate the American public about the need to address the climate crisis and end U.S. support for non-democratic governments. We use the strategies of public education, community action, engagement with government officials, and global solidarity to support movements for political freedom and climate action.
We envision a world in which U.S. policies are fully aligned with the hopes and aspirations of all people who desire freedom and an environmentally sustainable world.
